Do you accept insurance?

To provide the highest quality of care and maintain complete flexibility in our work together, I am currently transitioning to a private pay model. Traditional insurance panels often place restrictive limitations on the length, frequency, and focus of therapy sessions.By moving away from insurance, I am excited to offer extended sessions (90 minutes to 3 hours) for both individuals and partners. This expanded timeframe allows us to dive deeper, move at a pace that honors your nervous system, and accomplish meaningful work—whether we are processing trauma or navigating complex relationship dynamics—without feeling rushed by standard 50-minute limits.

What will happen during my first session?

During your first session, my primary goal is to get to know you! We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore relevant background and family history, and clarify your goals. If you are attending with partner(s), we will begin with a joint intake session, followed by individual sessions for each partner, before coming back together as a group for ongoing work.

How many sessions are usually needed?

This is a complex question that we can explore together once I know more about your unique situation. While single-incident traumas can sometimes be addressed in 10 to 12 sessions, deeper work—such as healing attachment wounds or navigating shifting relationship patterns—typically requires a more sustained duration of treatment.

What is the investment?

My rate is $130 per 55-minute session. For clients utilizing extended sessions, fees are prorated in 30-minute increments ($65 per additional 30 minutes). We will always discuss session length and structure together beforehand so there are never any surprises regarding your financial investment in your care.

What is sex therapy and what will happen in sex therapy sessions?

Sex therapy addresses any part of your sexual life that is causing you displeasure, dysfunction, or disruption. I provide a non judgemental, affirming approach to sexual issues so that you can feel comfortable discussing issues openly. We will explore your sexual history, nature of the "problem," and work together to change thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are interfering with your sexual life.

What makes you a sex therapist?

In addition to a Masters degree, I completed 150 hours of education in sex therapy, along with many consultation hours with sex therapy  mentors through the International Institute for Clinical Sexology located in Miami Florida. Additionally, each year I complete ongoing continuing education in order to maintain my certificate.

What does being Certified in EMDR mean?

Many clinicians are EMDR-trained, meaning they have completed basic training and professional consultation. Certification represents the next level of expertise, involving more intensive training and consultation on advanced EMDR techniques. This certification is officially provided through EMDRIA (EMDR International Association).

How long are the sessions?

Standard individual sessions are 55 minutes. For partners and relationship work, I prefer sessions to be at least 90 minutes to allow us enough uninterrupted time to explore underlying dynamics and make meaningful progress. Additionally, intensive or specialized sessions can range anywhere from 90 minutes up to 3 hours depending on your goals and needs.
